VOLUNTEERING

Interested in ways to help the club and earn some free stuff at the same time? We're always looking for volunteers to DJ, participate on committees, and/or help at socials.

Benefits of volunteering include:

  • Free UADC membership (20 hours per semester)
  • Free class per semester (20 hours per semester)
  • Admission to Winter Waltz or Top Hat and Tails (40 hours per semester)

JOIN THE UADC SOCIAL COMMITTEE

Do you have a creative side that needs some nurturing? Do you have an idea that will make our next social the best one yet? Want to help out the Dance Club and earn some free stuff at the same time? Then consider joining the UADC Social Committee! We are currently looking for anyone interested in helping plan, prepare, set up and run our socials that everyone knows and loves. Not only do you get to throw a great party, you also get the perks of being a UADC volunteer! If you are interested, send your name and email to our Social Director.

  

Become a Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistants (TA's) are volunteer UADC members who help members in classes. Instructors are chosen from the TA group, formally known as the TA Corps.

TA Tryouts occur every summer (July and August). If you are a member who is interested in trying out to be a TA, watch for TA Tryout forms during the winter term.

TA responsibilities include:

  • Attending all TA classes and all nightly classes for which the TA is scheduled to assist.
  • Presenting a professional image.
  • Ensuring they have properly learned the instruction material.

Benefits of being a TA include:

  • Free UADC membership.
  • Free attendance to Newcomer I, II, and Pre-Bronze classes.
  • Free admission to workshops (excluding Dance Camp).
  • Participation in the First TA Waltz at Winter Waltz and Top Hat & Tails.
  • Instruction from our Dance Professionals.
