Open Practice Dance SessionS (OPDS)

OPDS is designed to encourage good dance skills such as floorcraft, etiquette, technique and of course...FUN! Open Practice Dance Sessions are held most Sundays in the fall and winter term from 2:00p - 4:00p as a practice time for members only. Teaching Assistants will be on shift during the entire practice to help you work on your technique, moves, or just learn something you saw and want to try. The practices provide you with a variety of dancers with whom to practice, sufficient space to practice in, and also appropriate tempo music to dance to. On occasion alternative and contemporary music may be played to widen your musicality and add variety to your dancing experience.

It is not always necessary to attend with a partner since the Dance Club promotes partner rotation in class. However, this rule is not applied to any of our social events, nor OPDS. Hence you may wish to attend with your favourite dance partner.
